What We Did

  • Removed all the existing roofing, flashings and backing paper
  • Releading of the chimney base
  • Installed new roofing shingles, flashings and underlayments
  • Replaced the wood shingles on the sides of the dormers
  • Replaced the gutters
  • Painted the whole Exterior

In this house that was built in 1965 we had a few items of maintenance to take care of. First, we replaced the roof that had not been done in about 20 years. It is a cape house that has an addition and garage attached to the back, so there was a lot of square footage of roofing to do. The roof was replaced with a shingle called Certainteed Landmark 30 year. It was a slate blend color which has some red granules to match the red house.

Next, we addressed some rot issues on the roof line. Cape houses often have a dormer like this one on the back of the house and a catwalk. This is an area (usually a few feet wide), where the dormer if projected from. It is also a great place for water and snow to gravitate towards, thus creating water damage to the siding over time.

They had rotted wood shingles on the sides of the dormers, so we replaced them with a low maintenance material called James Hardie Fiber Cement shingles. It looks like wood and matches the rest of the house, but it is made up of Portland cement and other materials which make it a better product than wood which withstands moisture.

We also installed new gutters and downspouts around the house to fix some water direction issues. The last step to make everything look great was the painting. It had been several years since it was done, so the customer just wanted everything to be redone and look fresh. They picked a great red color to go with white trim and it came out great.

It really makes it look like a new house with the new roof and freshly painted house. The customer was pleased we could take care of all of his home improvement needs and has already referred us to a few of his friends.

What We Did

  • Sand and primed walls
  • Filled in minor cracks
  • Painted with Benjamin Moore® paint
  • Top coated lead paint with Child-Safe encapsulating paint

This house in Framingham, MA went through a complete interior renovation. These customers had quite a few walls replaced and/or moved and hired a plasterer to take care of that project.

The interior walls, however, still had minor cracks that had to be filled and the walls and ceilings were primed with Sherwin-Williams primer. Our painters also sanded the walls to make them smooth and painted the walls and ceilings with Benjamin Moore Regal paint.

The windows and interior window frames also needed some attention. They were primed and then painted with Sherwin-Williams paint, as well as the doors and door frames, the detailed trim work on the ceilings, crown moldings, raised panels and baseboards.

These customers also had vintage armoires and stairways that had lead paint on them. We sanded the lead paint with the use of HEPA vacuums and masks, painted the surfaces with Benjamin Moore paint and finished them with a lead-encapsulating paint.

The ceiling in the pool room had very detailed trim work that needed to be handled with extra care. We caulked the seams, covered all the nail holes and painted it.

There were some artwork on the garage walls done a long time ago by one of the owners and they didn't want to lose them.

We carefully installed temporary frames and covered them completely. We worked in the garage and they were very happy we devoted so much care into what was important to them.

Then the artistic painter hired by the owners finished some of the walls with stencils and free-hand artwork.

As a local, family-owned painting company in Massachusetts, we provided extra attention to detail to this home so this Framingham, MA family will be able to enjoy many family functions very, very soon in their beautiful "new" home.

What We Did

  • Removed all the existing wallpaper and glue on walls in the whole house
  • Prep walls for paint
  • Paint everything!

This is one of the oldest houses we have ever worked on. It was built in 1732!

Needless to say, the walls were not in perfect condition.

The wallpaper throughout the house was removed with the exception of the living room.

There were 11 rooms total and the walls needed a lot of work.

All the glue was removed with the wallpaper, then it was time to patch.

We had an assembly line of painters working; a few were patching and skim-coating the walls, the others were sanding and then priming.

The next step was painting! The customer picked some great colors which really changed the dynamic of the rooms.

We painted almost everything in the house, from mantels, dentals, crown moldings, wainscots, baseboards, shelves, cabinets, and walls. It was a lot of work, but the end result was terrific.

The other challenge of this project was the time line. We had to complete the project within a tight time frame so the customer could move in. We had up to 5 painters working at a time for about 7 long days.

After many long days of removing wallpaper, prepping walls and painting, the project was done and the customer was very happy. They were able to move in on time into a freshly painted house!

What We Did

  • Removed all existing Masonite siding
  • Installed James Hardie Cedarmill Clapboards 5”
  • Installed Cellular PVC trim
  • Painted with Sherwin Williams Resilience Paint

This 1970's colonial style home in Westford, MA was in need of some serious care. The masonite siding was in really bad shape because moisture was absorbing in the composite siding.

Unfortunately with masonite, when this happens, it is unfixable and the siding must be replaced.

The customer was looking for a siding contractor in Westford, MA that could handle a project with the attention to detail, to get his house looking the way he wanted.

We first removed the Masonite siding that was rotting in many places. As siding contractors in Massachusetts we are experienced in removing all types of siding from Cedar clapboard, to aluminum siding, to asphalt shingle siding and everything in between.

We then wrapped the house with a moisure barrier, Tyvek® Homewrap. The customer choose to match the existing style of siding to be installed, so we put up James Hardie Cedarmill or Woodgrain style clapboards. This fiber cement siding product is designed to look like cedar clapboards, but it is low maintenance.

To complement their new low-maintenance siding we installed low maintenance cellular PVC trim on their cornerboards, window and door frames, garage door frames, and rakes.

Some of the siding rot had spread to the trim and framing of the house. Our experienced carpenters reframed the studs between the 1st and 2nd floor on the back of the house, replaced 6 sheets of plywood, and 6 window sills. The water caused a lot of damage underneath the siding, which we could not see until it was taken off, but we took care of all issues properly and the homeowner was very pleased how we handled the different issues.

The final step was to bring in our team of painters. Our painters have more experience coating fiber cement siding then any other company in New England, they practically specialize in painting fiber cement siding.
