United Home Experts is developing plans to have a booth specific to fiber cement siding at the 2009 Boston Home Show. Fiber cement siding is approaching a market share of 10% in Massachusetts and other parts of New England. This is a significant development since just 10 years ago fiber cement was virtually unused in New England. United sees a great opportunity to promote products such as James Hardie® Hardiplank® and Certainteed® Weatherboards®. Homeowners are expressing more and more interest in fiber cement siding because of its natural wood like appearance and texture without all of the maintenance of traditional wood siding products such as cedar.
Fiber cement siding is available in a variety of shapes and styles including fiber cement clapboard, fiber cement shingles, and even decorative shapes like fiber cement half-rounds and staggered edge shingles. This is important in the New England market because there is such a variety of homes from historical and traditional to modern and non-traditional.
United Home Experts plans to have several types of products on display at the upcoming Boston Home Show so that curious homeowners will have a chance to see and feel the various products.
