Benefits of Fiber-Cement Siding

Fiber-cement siding provides low maintenance, but unlike vinyl, doesn't sacrifice the beauty and character of wood. Fiber cement siding won't rot or crack, and it resists damage from rain, hail and flying debris. Best of all, fiber-cement siding is fire resistant, with a limited, transferable warranty for up to 30 years. No wonder it's protecting over 4 million homes in North America alone.

The United Home Experts Fiber Cement Installation Process

We at United Home Experts have distinguished a great reputation as being one of the most experienced and knowledgeable installers of fiber cement siding products in the New England area (MA, RI, NH, and CT). We are majority family owned and operated, and strive to meet the everyday needs of all our customers.

  1. We begin re-siding projects by removing the old siding down to sheathing, exposing any problems that you might have within the walls. United then treats and replaces any rotting wood, and also checks for insulation problems, offering many options for increasing the insulation in the walls.
  2. We then wrap the exposed walls with Tyvek™ or an equivalent, breathable vapor barrier.
  3. We re-flash where needed to prevent moisture infiltration.
  4. United will then begin the installation of the trim materials and the Fiber Cement siding product of choice.
  5. Based on the application, we use either double dipped galvanized or stainless steel siding nails, then caulk all necessary seams with high quality siliconized latex caulk. We use this because it remains flexible to avoid cracking.
  6. After work is completed, a Standard United Inspection is performed with the job Foreman or Project Manager to ensure complete customer satisfaction in every area.
